Grace Kelly

Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief, in this film she's your typical rich young women looking for love. She has been brought up proper, speaks with elegance and pride, she dresses in luxury with jewellery that only you can dream of. In this film she is trying to get Carry Grant to tell her how he has been able to steal diamonds as he used to be a jewellery thief.

The Firework Scene

This scene is my favourite scene from To Catch a Thief, simply because its so romantic and dramatic. I love how the fireworks are brought into the scene to represent the sexual tension between the two characters, then when they kiss the fireworks go huge.

The Firework Scene

I would like to focus on this scene as well as the fashion, as I think this scene shows how in the 1950's sex scenes were represented not like today were nudity is a big part. Hitchcock was able to use something like fireworks to show the tension build up to the kiss. I also like how the music also helps build up the tension with the fireworks, I like how it stops and starts to fit in with the firework parts.
